Apologies all for the short notice. 2nd September 2011 The club will be open tonight (Friday 2nd September) as the cleaning of the hall has been completed ahead of schedule. 28 August 2011 FREESPORT INITIATIVE AT YORK GARDENS TABLE TENNIS CLUB There will be free table tennis sessions at York Gardens for all non members of the club on the dates set out below. A number of ETTA qualified coaches will be in attendance to help run the sessions and offer expert advice between 6pm and 10pm on the following days: Sept, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 16th Juniors (under 18) - 6 pm to 7 30 pm Adults - 7 30pm to 10 pm Enthusiasts of all ages are most welcome to come along and learn or improve their skills. Freesport provides free sporting oppurtunities to Londoners of all ages and abilities to encourage greater participation in sport and physical activity in the build up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond Freesport is funded by the Mayor of London as part of his PlaySport London Programme, helping organisations all over London deliver a grass-roots sporting legacy for London. We have since relocated to our current base which is at Fircroft Primary School in Tooting. York Gardens welcomes players of all ages and skill levels. The club closes on public holidays but continues to run during school holidays. Please bring your own bats, balls and gear as regretfully we do not provide any equipment. Tooting - Fircroft Primary School The evenings at Tooting are split into;
1) Junior Coaching sessions. Players are classed as Juniors up until their 18th birthday. 2) Senior Practice sessions. Opening Times
Fees
Fircroft has changing facilities but not showers. Competition York Gardens enters teams in the Wandsworth & District League. We also have four teams playing the British League. We are also involved in organising the Lambeth Open Tournament. Photos from the event can be found in our gallery. |
